The CorNeat KPro is a synthetic cornea, keratoprosthesis(KPro), which provides a long-lasting medical solutionfor corneal blindness, pathology and injury. TheCorNeat KPro utilizes advanced cell technology tointegrate synthetic optics within resident oculartissue. It is produced using nanoscale chemicalengineering, which stimulates cellular growth. Thecurrent biological solution (keratoplasty), andprevious KPros, are either sutured to, or attemptedintegration with, the native corneal tissue – a tissuethat lacks blood vessels and heals very poorly. TheCorNeat KPro integrates underneath the conjunctiva,the white part of the eye, a site rich with fibroblasts,which heals quickly and vigorously.

The CorNeat eShunt (glaucoma shunt) is poised to revolutionize the treatment of glaucoma. It is designed toregulate the intraocular pressure and addresses the shortcomings of existing solutions. Using advanced materials,the CorNeat eShunt inlet, which is placed in the anterior chamber angle, mimics the trabecular meshwork’sfunction in terms of flow resistance. The CorNeat eShunt outlet is uniquely positioned in the intraconal space, anarea that does not scar and clog and can absorb the drained aqueous humor. The CorNeat eShunt tube, which iscovered by a synthetic Extra Cellular Matrix (ECM) layer, seamlessly integrates with the ocular tissue as it traversesthe subconjunctival space, significantly shortening the surgical procedure .
