Background

The Guangzhou Innovation Office in Tel-Aviv is the official office of economic interest of Guangzhou in Israel. Guangzhou operates only two similar offices in the world – in the Silicon Valley and in Boston.
In recognition of Israel’s innovative achievements, the Government of Guangzhou decided to establish a formal presence in Tel-Aviv in order to expand the cooperation and to strengthen the economic and trade relations between Guangzhou and the State of Israel in the fields of technology, science and innovation in general. In addition, this office encourages and facilitates cooperation between Chinese
and Israeli academic and cultural institutions, hospitals and other private and public organizations.
GIBF Group, headed by Dr. Shuki Gleitman, previous Chief Scientist of the State of Israel and the Honorary Citizen of Guangzhou, is active in Guangzhou for over 6 years through several vehicles, including a fund and a technological incubator. The Government of Guangzhou (Foreign Affairs Office) has therefore selected GIBF to manage the Guangzhou Innovation Office in Tel-Aviv on behalf of the
government.

We are now looking for a new manager to manage this activity.

Job Description
  • Take part of the GIBF group’s activities in Israel, record them and be in charge of the needed
    reports to the government.
  •  Initiate own contacts, visits, conferences, events, etc. as part of the office’s activity.
Qualifications:
  • Self-motivated, loyal, hard worker, organized & “accurate”, team member.
  • Previous experience can be diversified, is not a must but is an advantage.
  • Fluent Chinese & English. Hebrew – an advantage.
