The Guangzhou Sino-Israel Biotech Investment Fund (GIBF) is established in March 2016, focusing on life science investment with initial size of 600 million RMB. The Guangzhou Elim Biotech Industry Venture Capital Management Company, controlled by a group of prominent Israel professionals, is the management company of the Fund. It has currently operational offices both in Guangzhou, China and Tele Aviv, Israel.
This is the first ever and very bold approach taken by a major Chinese municipal government in many aspects to let a foreign group mainly manage this fund sponsored by governments.
The purpose of GIBF is to bring world class Israel biotech into Guangzhou to be commercialized and industrialized locally and build up a competitive and comprehensive life science industry in Guangzhou.
Guangzhou Industrial Investment Fund
An investment fund sponsored by the GZ municipal government, with total capital under management above 170 billion RMB.
The fund is targeting strategic industries which are important to the development of GZ economy, engaging in government funding, private equity, angel funds, venture capital, pre-IPO, PIPE, M&A, municipal development funds, internet financing, fixed income, and other financial businesses.
Guangzhou Pharmaceuticals Company
GPC is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in China with over 87.8 billion RMB in sales in 2016, over 30 subsidiaries, including public companies and well-known brands, including Wanglaoji (108 billion RMB brand value), Baiyunshan (28 billion RMB brand value), and Chenliji.
GPC is developing 4 main sectors: healthcare (mainly nutrition), medicine (Chinese and western drugs), logistics and healthcare services. Its medicine sector includes traditional Chinese medicine, botanical medicine, chemical pharmaceutical materials and preparation, biological preparation by focusing medical treatments in cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive system, diabetes, rabies.

Hengyun is Guangzhou based energy SOE company traded on the Shenzhen Stock Exchang. The company is principally engaged in generation and distribution of electric and thermal power, providing electric power, steam and desulfurizer mainly in the Guangdong Provinc. Also it is involved in real estate business (through a subsidiary).
